Hello Dancers!

For those who do not know me, my name is Hoi and I am a passionate Zouk dancer! I am very lucky to be able to travel the world learning and continuing to develop my dance skills & knowledge.

What most people don’t know is what I actually do for a career which some of you may have guessed! I work in IT as a Data Centre Engineer for one of the coolest and awesome IT company in the World!

Hoi ZoukThis company is called Canonical or for some, commonly known as Ubuntu. All IT nerds should know or heard of us! 🤓

My work-life balance is pretty amazing thanks to Canonical / Ubuntu because it aligns with my ideal lifestyle; being able to work in a field where I believe in contributing to a greater cause (Open Source) and I also get to travel a lot which means dancing where ever I can find Brazilian Zouk!

I have a dream, which is to bring in and create passionate dancers within Canonical / Ubuntu. #DanceNerd #PoweredByPassion #UnityInDiversity

If you work in IT or Design profession, then you’ll love this opportunity which I am going to present to you now because it’s a chance to create your own work-life balance. I’ve mentioned these 2 fields specifically because they are the departments which get to travel a lot!

The work we do at Canonical / Ubuntu positively changes the world, and dance positively changes people’s lives. These are my two goals which I believe can be integrated to create a new company culture and bridge closeness between people… Work, travel and dance? YES! Why not have them all.

If you have a friend or family who would love this lifestyle, please SHARE this page with them!

Full disclosure: This is my personal referal link when you click on this button. Please ensure you use it when applying for any role. If your applicaiton is successful then I would get a nice little bonus which helps fund these dance projects! The first round of drinks & meal will be on me, let’s dance and I’ll even throw in a free private Zouk class! 😉 🍻 🍽 🥂 🕺 💃

Fun facts about why I am doing this! 🙃

Based on a sample survey where I asked what professional careers does dancers do for a living, the results were fascinating because IT professions turned out the be the dominant career for both LADIES and GENTS! I’m already concluding it’s to do with the way our mind works and how we process & learn dance can be closely related! This certainly is a topic I’d love to talk more about with you!

This could turn out to be really really fun… I’ve already found a great balance between a career that I love and my greatest passion being dance so sure why not combine them both right? Life is just too short and having something amazing is only as good as being able to share it with others!

So… Will you join me? 😁
